Will PIA fly to Beijing directly?

By the end of this month, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will begin flying nonstop flights between Beijing and Islamabad and returning to Beijing to provide an improved level of service to the airline’s patrons by the end of October.

There is presently a weekly service provided by the national airline that travels among Islamabad, Xian, Beijing, and Islamabad. The aircraft operated by PIA leaves Islamabad on Saturdays and arrives in Xian later that day.

Since Pakistan is China’s only all-weather strategic partner and the two countries share interests and cooperate in a variety of fields, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) is said to have given the green light for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to begin direct weekly operations to and from Beijing.

The CAAC has also urged that the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) notify PIA to submit paperwork on time to complete the approval process quickly.

It would be advantageous for travelers, especially those stationed in the Chinese capital if there were a direct passenger aircraft between Islamabad and Beijing and back again. Projects associated with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) located in Pakistan stand to gain advantages from the flight as well, given that it will make it simpler for Chinese laborers to travel to and from their places of employment.

It is important to note that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has been operating direct passenger flights every Wednesday between Islamabad and Chengdu, the capital city of the province of Sichuan in China, since March of this year.

Before this, the national flag carrier had decreased the tax for flights between Pakistan and China by 7%, which brought the entire reduction for students from 10% to 15%.
