PCB Stands by Babar Azam and Pakistan Team, Asks for Support from Fans

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a statement on Thursday, October 26th, 2023, asking the cricket fraternity to support the national team in the ongoing World Cup in India. The statement came after Pakistan suffered three consecutive defeats against India, Australia, and Afghanistan, putting their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals in jeopardy.

The PCB acknowledged the disappointment and frustration of the fans and stakeholders over the team’s performance, but also expressed optimism and confidence that the team will overcome the setbacks and bounce back strongly in the remaining matches. The PCB said that the team has the potential and talent to beat any side in the world, and urged the fans to keep faith in them.

The PCB also praised the captaincy of Babar Azam, who has been under pressure and criticism after the losses. The PCB said that Babar is one of the best batsmen in the world, and has led the team with courage and conviction. The PCB assured that it will continue to support Babar and the team management, and will make decisions in the best interest of Pakistan cricket.

The PCB also appealed to the media and former players to refrain from making negative comments and spreading rumors about the team, and instead provide constructive feedback and encouragement. The PCB said that such negativity can demoralize the players and affect their morale and confidence. The PCB requested the media and former players to show responsibility and professionalism in their coverage and analysis of the team.

The PCB concluded its statement by reiterating its support and solidarity with the Pakistan team, and asking the cricket fraternity to get behind them in these tough times. The PCB said that it believes in the team’s ability and resilience, and hopes to see them stage a good comeback in the World Cup.
