Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team Make History by Beating New Zealand in T20I

Pakistan women’s cricket team achieved a historic feat by defeating New Zealand women’s team for the first time in a T20I match on Sunday. The visitors chased down the target of 128 with seven wickets and 10 balls to spare in the first match of the three-game series in Dunedin.

Pakistan’s opener Shawaal Zulfiqar played a crucial knock of 41 runs, while captain Bismah Maroof and Aliya Riaz added an unbeaten 39-run partnership to seal the victory. Earlier, Pakistan’s bowlers restricted New Zealand to 127 for six, with Fatima Sana taking three wickets for 18 runs.

Fatima Sana, who was playing her first T20I since recovering from an injury, was named the Player of the Match for her outstanding performance. She also became the first Pakistani woman to take three wickets in a T20I against New Zealand.

The win was Pakistan’s first against New Zealand in nine T20I matches, and also their first in New Zealand. The Pakistan women’s team celebrated their historic win with joy and pride, as they posed with the Pakistani flag and thanked their fans for their support.

The second T20I will be played on December 5, followed by the third and final match on December 7. Pakistan will be hoping to continue their winning momentum and clinch the series, while New Zealand will be looking to bounce back and level the series.
