The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced that the second Test match between Pakistan and England, which was initially scheduled to take place at Karachi’s National Stadium, will now be hosted in Multan. This important Test will be held from October 15 to 19.
The venue change was prompted by ongoing renovation work at Karachi’s National Stadium, which is being upgraded in preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy set to take place in Pakistan next year. The PCB made this decision to ensure that Karachi’s stadium is fully ready to meet international standards by the time of the major tournament. Multan, now hosting two matches, steps in to take over the responsibility of the second Test, in addition to the first match of the series, which is scheduled from October 7 to 11. The third and final Test of the series will be played in Rawalpindi from October 24 to 28.
