Hungarian Government Offers Scholarships for Pakistani Students in Various Fields

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Program 2024-25 for Pakistani and AJ&K nationals. The program is launched by the Hungarian government to support outstanding students who want to pursue higher education in Hungary.

The scholarships are available for Bachelor’s, Master’s, One-Tier Master’s and PhD programs in various fields of study, such as engineering, natural sciences, social sciences, arts, agriculture, health sciences, and humanities. The scholarships cover tuition fees, monthly stipend, accommodation, health insurance, and travel costs.

The applicants are required to submit online applications at both the Hungarian website and the HEC website before January 15, 2024. The applicants are also required to provide HAT or USAT test scores, with a minimum score of 50 out of 100. The test categories and other eligibility criteria can be found on the HEC website.

The applicants are advised to read the application guide and the available programs carefully before applying. The applicants are also required to keep record of all the submitted documents and online application forms. At a later stage of the selection process, the applicants will be required to submit hard copies of the documents along with original medical certificate and police clearance certificate.

The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Program is a bilateral cooperation agreement between HEC and the Tempus Public Foundation Hungary. The program aims to facilitate educational and cultural exchange between the two countries and to enhance the academic quality and research potential of the Pakistani students.

The program also offers a unique opportunity for the Pakistani students to experience the rich and diverse culture, history, and education system of Hungary. The students can also benefit from the academic and professional networks and the international exposure that the program provides.

The program has been running since 2015 and has awarded scholarships to more than 500 Pakistani students so far.
