At 37 years old, Christiano Ronaldo has amassed a collection of trophies and records that attest to his status as one of the best players in the sport’s history.

Ronaldo has set an absurdly high standard with over 800 career goals and 32 major titles, and it’s doubtful that any new striker will come close to matching his achievements for a very long time.

Here are a few records Ronaldo set and shook the world with him:

In Manchester United

Ronaldo won the European Golden Shoe in 2008, making him the first United player to accomplish it. If that was not enough, In 2008, he was the only player from Manchester United to win the World Player of the Year title.

Ronaldo scored 31 goals for Manchester United in a single Premier League season, setting a new record. When he scored against Porto in 2009, he became the first and only United player to win the Puskas trophy. He set new trends along with new records.

In Real Madrid

Ronaldo set a new record by scoring more than 50 goals in six straight seasons between 2011 and 2016.

With 451 goals in 438 games for Real Madrid, he outpaced Raul Gonzalez by 128 goals, who scored 323 goals in 741 games.

He has 312 goals for Real Madrid in La Liga, making him the league’s all-time greatest scorer.

Ronaldo has scored three or more goals in a game 34 times, the most of any player in La Liga history.

In Juventus

Ronaldo scored 37 goals in all competitions in 2019–20, setting a new single-season record for Juventus.

He scored 50 goals for the Bianconeri in only 61 league games, making him the quickest player to achieve that milestone in Serie A history.

As of this season, he is alone as the only player in Europe’s top five leagues to have scored 30 or more goals in three different campaigns.

In Europe

He is the first player in Champions League history to score 10 or more goals for three separate teams.

Ronaldo has scored 141 goals in the Champions League, 12 more than Messi’s total of 129 giving him superiority in the debate of being the ultimate champion.

In the 2013–14 season, he scored 17 goals in the Champions League, shattering the previous record for most goals scored in a European season.

With 118 goals in 192 games for his country’s national team, Ronaldo surpassed Ali Daei in September of 2021 to become the all-time leading scorer in international competition.

Ronaldo has made 184 appearances for Portugal, more than any other player. Between 2004 and 2022, Ronaldo is the first player to score in 11 straight international competitions. He scored 14 times in the European Championship.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been a goal-scoring machine for over two decades now. His performance has given birth to football fanatics and inspired many players to follow his lead toward greatness.
