Babar, Rizwan, and Shaheen Soar in Recent ICC T20 Rankings

The International Cricket Council (ICC) recently released the latest T20 rankings, and it is a moment of pride for Pakistan as several of its players have seen significant improvements in their positions.

Pakistan’s cricket team captain, Babar Azam, has made a notable leap in the rankings. With a rating of 763, Babar has moved up one spot, securing the fourth position in the list. This advancement comes on the heels of his commendable performance in the home series against New Zealand, where he emerged as the top run-scorer with 125 runs.

Babar’s teammate, Mohammad Rizwan, who serves as the wicket-keeper batter for the Green Shirts, is ranked as the third-best T20 batsman globally. This places him just one spot above Babar, marking a significant achievement for Pakistan’s cricket team.

However, the top 50 of the ICC’s T20 batter’s list, led by India’s Suryakumar Yadav and followed by England’s Phil Salt, does not feature any other Pakistani player. Despite this, Fakhar Zaman, another talented player from Pakistan, has climbed 10 places to the 62nd position after scoring 104 runs in the series against New Zealand.

In the bowling department, Pakistan’s pace spearhead, Shaheen Afridi, has risen three places to equal 14th following his impressive performance of taking eight wickets across four matches against New Zealand. Imad Wasim, who recently reversed his retirement decision, also saw a significant jump of 10 places to 22nd in the T20I all-rounders rankings.

Pakistan’s Shadab Khan has also made his mark in the all-rounders category, securing the 10th position. The top spot in this category is held by Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan.

The recent advancements in the rankings by Pakistani players are a testament to their hard work, dedication, and exceptional performance in the recent matches. As the cricketing world continues to evolve, these players are setting new benchmarks and making their nation proud.
